Ms. Alam has 25 years of investment banking, emerging market management and private equity experience. She is a founding partner and the CEO of Development Partners International LLP, a Pan- African Private Equity Fund. Prior to DPI, Ms. Alam was Chief Executive of Kingdom Zephyr Africa Management and a director of the AIG Infrastructure fund, managed by Emerging Markets Partnership. She holds a BA in International and Developmental Economics from the Woodrow Wilson School of Princeton University (1981) and an MBA from the Harvard Business School (1985) and was also a Harry S. Truman Congressional Scholar. She serves on the board of UBA bank and has previously served on the board of Letshego and Celtel.
