Michael A.T. Kalainkay is the Agricultural Marketing Advisor of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food Security. He has a background and experience in Management, Food Security, Marketing, and Project cycle management, with a wealth of experience in Africa and Europe. He had won a project competition organised by the World Bank in 2008 for African Diaspora in Europe (D-MADE) based on a business plan that can improve the livelihoods of the disadvantaged women fish sellers at Mabella in Sierra Leone. He is a technocrat in project management and the agric value chain. Mr. Kalainkay has done series of lectures in marketing and customer care. He has also worked as a capacity building officer for a capacity building organisation in the Netherlands. He earned his Masters degree in Management, Economics and Consumer Studies in 2004 in Wageningen University, his BSc (Hons) degree in Larenstein University of Professional Education, specialising in International Agri-Business Management. He is reliable, trustworthy and meticulous. He is able to work on own initiative or as part of a team and can deal with academic and administrative duties competently. In a nutshell, he is a result oriented individual.
