Ron is a member of Standard Chartered’s sub-saharan Africa Private Equity (SCPE) team based in Johannesburg, South Africa. SCPE provides equity funding for expansions, acquisitions, LBOs and MBOs and considers equity investments from US$25 million to US$150 million in a single transaction. To date, SCPE has invested over US$1.5 billion across the construction, manufacturing, oil & gas, outsourcing, pharmaceutical, property and telecommunications sectors across the bank’s geographic footprint in Africa and Asia. Prior to joining SCPE, Ron spent 6 years at Goldman Sachs in the investment management and investment banking divisions. Ron holds an MBA degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Pomona College.
