Lekan Odugbesan joined Kingdom Zephyr African Management (KZAM) in 2007. Prior to joining KZAM, he was an investment banker in the mergers and acquisitions group at Rothschild Inc., where he worked on several buy-side and sell-side transactions in various industry sectors, including industrials, consumer/retail and technology/telecoms. He was also an investment banker in the technology group at Credit Suisse, where he focused on debt and equity capital financings as well as mergers and acquisitions.

Lekan holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree (Honors) in Civil Engineering from the University of Liverpool, UK; a Masters of Science degree in Structural Engineering from Imperial College, University of London; and a Masters of Business Administration from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
