Founder and CEO
Daniel Edibe is the Founder and CEO of WideMotion, Inc., a San Francisco-based telecommunications company specializing in Voice over IP and dematerialized telecom products, with operations in the US, Europe and Africa. The company’s leading service, Ultrra.com, is a web browser-based telephony application used by a diverse audience. WideMotion’s DistriPay™ platform allows unbanked customers to conduct transactions with a wide array of service providers. Mr. Edibe is also the Founder of Milleum International LLC., a service provider and distributor of recycled products from leading mobile telephony operators and manufacturers.
Before his current ventures, he founded 101prepaid.com, a distributor of virtual prepaid phone cards. Prior to this, he joined the founding team of QSpace, Inc., the first U.S. firm to offer credit reports to individual consumers online as Director of Marketing and Communications. There he contributed to the company’s outstanding success, with annual revenues in excess of $10 million, by solidifying its reputation and securing online distribution agreements with prominent partners such as Ford Motor Credit and Wells Fargo Bank. Before joining QSpace, he was a Marketing Manager at Viewgraphics, Inc. where he helped to build the success of the VideoPump family of professional High Definition Video Capturing adapters for the broadcasting and movie-making industry. He previously was a consultant to prominent organizations including France Telecom and NASA Ames Research Center.
In addition to his activities as an entrepreneur, Daniel Edibe is a community advocate. He has mentored troubled teens, fostered business clubs, and promoted the transfer of technologies to Africa. He also served as President of the board of directors of the African Immigrant & Refugee Resource Center, a non-profit organization aiming to successfully resettle African refugees and low-income people in the U.S.
He holds a graduate degree in International Business Administration from E.S.I.A.E. He also received undergraduate training in Economics and Political Science at the University of Paris I Pantheon-Sorbonne, and the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Bordeaux (Sciences-Po Bordeaux).
Mr. Edibe is an outdoor enthusiast and an avid collector of African art. He currently resides in San Francisco, California and Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire. He is fluent in English and French.
