Gerald Prolman is a pioneer across several ethical product markets. He is a high-spirited, mission-driven, serial entrepreneur with a
31 year history building and selling branded food, agriculture and horticulture related companies with particular experience in
rural cottage industry business development and the establishment of ventures that join together for-profit and cause related
business interests.
Gerald is currently the CEO of Wildlife Works Retail Inc, a company that markets casual apparel made from eco-friendly fabrics,
under fair trade conditions in the African bush. He is also an advisor to an associated company, Wildlife Works Carbon LLC., Africa’s
leading REDD (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation) project development company. Both ventures represent a new business
model that uses the power of the global marketplace to bring innovative economic solutions to wildlife conservation, poverty alleviation
and forest protection in the developing world.
Previous to starting Wildlife Works Retail Inc., Gerald was the founder and CEO of Organic Bouquet the world’s first online sustainable
floral and gifting company. Prior to Organic Bouquet, Gerald was the founder and CEO of Made In Nature Inc. the first organic produce
brand to break through to mass market retail and he responsible for the conversion of more than 20,000 acres to organic production systems.
Gerald sold Made In Nature to Dole Food Company Inc. in 2004.
Gerald concurrently maintains the role of President of Sparrow Production Inc the Artist Management and Production Company for French
Jazz singer Raquel Bitton (his wife). He is also a Legacy Ambassador for the Rosa and Raymond Parks Institute for Self Development and
was responsible for the naming of a rose for Rosa Parks, "e;Freedom, a rose in honor of Rosa Parks"e;. Gerald and his wife reside in Marin County,
CA and have two children both attending university at this time.
