Jamie Ekern is an investment officer for sub-Saharan Africa at the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC). Prior to OPIC, she worked as the assistant director of the Council on Foreign Relations’ Center for Preventive Action. In that role she managed programming and publications on countries at risk of or recovering from violent conflict. She holds a M.S. in Foreign Service degree from Georgetown University, and a B.A. in International Relations from Stanford University.
