With over 10 years experience in technology, media and telecom strategies and leadership, Nam ran West Africa’s
largest wireless broadband operator and initiated its $32 million acquisition by Africa’s largest telecom operator.
Previously a Reuters Digital Vision Fellow, Flavin Entrepreneurship Fellow, and Pop!Tech Fellow, Nam is a visiting
scholar investigating issues in Technology Transfer and Triple-Helix Innovation at Stanford University’s Center for
African Studies. He founded PublicVine in 2010 to allow video makers showcase and charge for their work, globally,
on their own mobile or PC channel. The company now has working relationships with leading Nollywood movie and music
producers who want to reach an audience in the Diaspora.
Nam also advises investors and governments on technology transfer opportunities in Africa. Nam received a BA from
Dartmouth College and an MBA/MFA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. A former Junior Olympian and designer,
Nam is also passionate about fitness and the arts.
