Mahmoud Idriss

Chief Executive Officer

Mahmoud Idriss is the Chief Executive Officer of ITASCAP Limited, a start-up financial advisory and fund management company established in Sierra Leone. Mahmoud Idriss has served as Chief Investments Officer of Sierra Leone’s state pensions Fund, NASSIT for six years. During this period, the Fund increased from about US$ 20 Million to approximately US$ 80 Million, consistently achieving positive real rates of return on overall portfolio of assets.

Prior to being appointed at NASSIT, Mahmoud Idriss worked as an Economist in the Economic Policy and Research Unit, Ministry of Finance, where in worked on macroeconomic and financial sector policy issues.

Mahmoud Idriss did his undergraduate studies in Economics at the University of Sierra Leone at Fourah Bay College and graduate studies at the University of Toledo, Ohio in the United States.

He has vast knowledge in domestic financial sector and the business and financial landscape in Sierra Leone.
